A later father-and-son sketch (with the politically correct "Caveperson Days" title...:boo: ): Cave-Bert complains that Cave-Ernie spends too much time playing his drum to help take out the trash, which involves carrying one piece of junk to the dump each time. Eventually, an angry Cave-Bert turns Cave-Ernie's drum upside-down to stop him from playing. Cave-Ernie accidentally discovers the wastebasket when he notices that the drum can carry many pieces of trash at once, saving his father work and time. Cave-Bert rewards his son with a new drum--which looks remarkably like a modern metal trash can.

I'll bet Oscar loves that cave kid for creating the very first trash can.

The Royal Smart Person had just invented a lightweight material called "paper" (even though this was when "nothing had been invented" yet) that was a substitute for how mail was normally written until that point: on flat rocks. The mailman was repeatedly dropping the rock mail on the king's foot.

Only problem was, paper is so light that the wind could blow it away. When the king asked the RSP how to prevent that "paper-stuff of yours" from blowing away, he said "put a rock on it." That was the stone that was dropped on the king's foot, prompting him to chase the RSP around in anger. "I am sorry, your majesty" he uttered as the scene faded out.
What I always found so wierd about many of these and this skit had it were the cave gorl says '' I'd like to listen to the radio but it hasn't been invented yet." I didn't know what invented meant at the time but when I got older I thought how strange it is that 1 would of said such a thing. Only somebody older than the target age would of understood such a thing.

Besides the radio there was no rock music either.

That reminds of one time on I am Weasel, the setting was Viking days, and Red Guy (portraying the King and Queen again) shot himself out of a cannon smacked into a stone wall, and he says "I'd like an aspirin, has that been invented yet?"
