Mistersuperstar, I'd say my starting price covers the cost of the materials used and the cost for time isn't covered sometimes, but you win some and you lose some on ebay. I think ebay is a great worldwide advertising medium and it is worth while in the long run as I also get a lot of custom work from customers on ebay of which I can charge them for my time. Hope that answers your question.
