I just found this on YouTube yesterday. Besides performing Big Bird and Oscar, Caroll Spinney also gives puppet shows for families. From what I also understand, Caroll still uses the same puppets his mother made for him when he first got started in puppetry. It just goes to show how versatile puppeteers truly are. I'm also sure that this is the kind of stuff we are bound to see in "I Am Big bird: the Caroll Spinney Story". Here are the videos, enjoy

That's the one thing that upset me most. I am just amazed at how calm and relaxed Caroll is though. He has such a way with children.

I have to ask though, was this for his birthday, or was it a birthday party for one of those kids? I'm hoping it was for his birthday, because you have to admit, performing at children's birthday parties is the puppeteer equivilent of a college graduate working in fast food.

I loved what he did with that bunny puppet though. Again, with all those screaming rugrats, it was hard to hear and invest in the little show he was putting on, but it looked interesting - I see he performed a dragon, which he seems to favor, and his own version of Cookie Monster, lol.
