Show them to family and friends to see if they like my puppetry. My cousin and I used to do our own little home video sit-com series that lasted only four episodes, and even to this day we still find them hilarious (probably cause the footage we used was just plain immature.)

Theres lots of websites that offer free and paid for downloads form their sound effects libraries, some are professional and done in studios and for professional use.

Its also worth getting old vinyl records, expecially childrens ones including stories as many contain good sound effects that can be recorded to a digital format.

The problem with recording a laugh yourself is what would you be able to laugh at on cue!
