Just curious if their are any California area puppeteers interested in taking part in a rather ambitious Star Wars independent film(or "fan film") that will be filmed partly in the bay area and central CA as well as in other parts.

There's been a few Star Wars "fan film shorts" made, but this is going to be unlike anything attempted before, a whole new canon set before the prequels
with the intetion of feeling like an authentic Lucasfilm. I found out about this project recently, and besides more cgi, special effects-prop-makeup artists, costume designers and extras, miniature modelers, etc: they are looking for puppeteers who have their own original creature shop/star wars world looking original characters or willingness to create a new character to be featured and or cameo'd in the movie.

Unfortunately the new films have done away with the wonderful puppeted type of creatures we saw in Jedi, and this film hopes to bring back the sort of imaginative, dark, and comic fodder type of creatures big, small and medium that have been sadly replaced by cgi. Creatures would be needed for marketplace, temple, nite club, desert, and green screen scenes for both speaking roles, cameos and extra scenes. Film is in preproduction and begins filming in a couple months.
