5 questions please because I haven't seen this skit at all but one time which was just a while ago.And all I remember seeing is Cookie Monster talk to the 2 Headed Monster before and That's it!!!

(1) The Two-headed Monster uses the map. The one with a purple beard wants to go to the mountains, but the other with a black beard wants to go to the beach. They argue a lot until Cookie Monster solves it.

Do you know how Cookie Monster solved the problem? That sounds like a good one.

I think it's from a lot earlier than 1996. It was probably done in the late 70s/early 80s. He solves the argument by having the 2-headed moster go to Cucamonga! And so, they go off! But then HE can't decide where to go for vacation, seashore or mountains.

Cucamonga is a place in California. Rancho Cucamonga as it is normally called. You might say it's Cookie Monster's trademark place.

I'd heard Cucamonga mentioned in another skit.

For some reason, Cookie Monster dresses up like a medical doctor. He proceeds to summarily examine Ernie -- WITHOUT his consent mind you, or begrudgingly at best -- then diagnoses him with "Cucamonga-phobia". The treatment for this infirmity is to avoid consumption of cookies. Which of course, gives CM immediate license to eat the cookies contained in Ernie's possession.

I also remember a skit from prime-time TV in the early 1970s. On a TV special (I think it was called "Out to Lunch") a number of SS Muppet characters in several skits. In a sketch whose details escape me, CM made mention of "The Cucamonga Kid". This show also had Ernie and Bert in a show called "60 Seconds", which lasted about the length of time it took a second hand to loop around a stopwatch similar to one identified with a similarly named TV news magazine. Bert referred to Ernie as a "meatball" at least once in this skit.

Correct me if I'm wrong but when Cookie Monster dressed as a doctor, wasn't Ernie about to eat and apple and nbot a cookie?

Another time Cucamonga was mentioned was on the Bert & Ernie sketch where Ernie thought of the game "Guess What I Am." He preteneded to be a dog, and then a duck. Then he told Bert it was his turn to pretend to be something. He pretended to be a train, and a real train conductor came in as if he were a real train, and he was like, "There's my pesky train! I've been lookin all over for ya!" And Bert admits that he's no train. And Ernie says, "What? You're not a train?" And he says, "Yes, I am a train, that was a good one." The conductor then takes him seriously, and we see a bunch of muppet passengers come, and he says, "Next stop, Cucamonga!"
