I'd like to know, is Bruce Cayard reportedly still alive, or is he deceased? If the latter, when did he pass away?

I know the final Bruce Cayard animation to be shown on Sesame Street was the "Don't Mess with the Mighty M" skit, on the fourth episode of Season 34. That was from the early 1980s, I believe.

He's deceased. According to his profile I found on MyLife.com, Cayard was born on July 5, 1938, and died on June 25, 2016. He was 77 years old at the time of his death, ten days before his 78th birthday.

Cayard’s bits actually aired as late as season 39. The last airing I’m aware of was “I Love My Bones” in episode 4177.
