Last week the Count posted a message asking about having the home page automatically update whenever a new radio track is played (as what currently happens on our radio section page).

I've got this new code working on a temporary test home page, however, I'd like to have you guys help test out the code on as many browsers and platforms as possible to ensure it's working as designed before it is rolled out. Since it is our home page, it's even more critical that everything is displayed properly. Up for the challenge? Then good, here is what I need you to do.

The part of the page that has changed is the left-hand, column with the red curtain. Actually if everything is working properly for you both our current home page and the test page should LOOK the same with the exception that the test page should reload ONLY the red curtain when a new track is played, but not refresh the entire page. You'll know just the red curtain is refreshing if you watch the Flash menu, it shouldn't change when the refresh occurs.

Here are some questions that I'd like answered. I'm especially interested in the more obscure web browsers and browing methods. Please answer each of these below if you want to help out.

1. What operating system and web browser (with version number) are you using?

2. Visit our current home page and our test home page. Do you see a red curtain on both pages? (If there is a problem on the test page, the red curtain will probably be white instead of red.)

3. Are the two pages the same or do they look different? Please explain in an as much detail as possible. Provide a screen shot as appropriate.

4. Do the album covers automatically refresh every few minutes on our test page?

Sorry it took me so long.

Results for http://www.muppetcentral.com/index_radio_test2.shtml

IE mac: The red curtain is there and the songs refresh correctly. Once, when I looked at it after the page had been open for a few minutes, the entire curtain side bar had stopped refresshing and was white and empty--no songs/links/search bar. But it hasn't happened since, so maybe it was just a freak occurence.

Other browsers: It seems to work fine.

IE mac
: No red curtain--the section is still white, but the songs refresh.

Other browsers: The curtain is there, but the songs do not refresh.
