I said editing does more harm that good..as in, editing is bad silly *lol*!How so? Some cartoons are best without editing (most anime, for example).

This is where I agree and disagree. For example, if WWE hadn't of edit or changed Russo's work, then WWE would've stunk during Russo's tenure there. But, because WWE watched Russo & thoroughly edited and changed where need be, The Attitude Era was alive with a bunch of top-grossing storylines that blew WCW away. But nowadays, one can sense that hack writers are writing for the WWE, considering how Cena's dialog--even despite his for-kids Superman-esque gimmick--was flat ever since he stopped rapping.I said editing does more harm that good..as in, editing is bad silly *lol*!
I really don't think that is a requirement so much as a stereotype of a requirement . I mean, even when I was little I did not go in for everything that peer pressure said I 'should' do, no matter who was telling me to...and I think there are just as many 'exception' to the rule now as there ever were. To act like 'this is what most kids think now so it is a lost cause and just go along with it' is taking the easy, and wrong, way out IMHO.Good point, but then sadly, older children (the demographic intended for many cartoons of years past & of the present) mainly don't watch toons that aren't on Adult Swim or Comedy Central nowadays & nor do they get involved in deep-thinking shows like...well...FR, for one. The reason? They're told to grow up so fast by their schools (who are required to make sure every kid--even the stupid ones, to be frank--does well), by their peers ('cause being older is cool), and even by their parents (getting kids into sports & play dates by as young as 3-4)!
Well I think it's always been true that you have your popular crowd that likes inferior (heh) entertainment and causes trouble, etc. These kids congregate together and are loud and noticable. So adults get the idea that "all kids today" are like that. But in reality, there are also always kids who do follow the rules and enjoy quality entertainment. I think it's not a new phenomenon, it's all too familiar.I really don't think that is a requirement so much as a stereotype of a requirement . One can only hope that this is true.nothing is a lost cause of you believe in it
That is me, I speak up for the little geeks, nerds, dorks, artists, and teachers pets because I was one (the last one most of all) and I know in every generation we live on quite well thank youWell I think it's always been true that you have your popular crowd that likes inferior (heh) entertainment and causes trouble, etc. These kids congregate together and are loud and noticable. It is if you believe it is. If you want to make what you care about live on, first it comes in believing, even if no one else does but you . Faith is catchy, and true faith grows :3. I mean, golly, just look where we're posting for goodness sake..and the muppets were how old when we were born ? ^.^One can only hope that this is true.
I'm with you on this Becky. Every generation has its people who conform to society's perceptions and every generations also has its people like us!That is me, I speak up for the little geeks, nerds, dorks, artists, and teachers pets because I was one (the last one most of all) and I know in every generation we live on quite well thank you
Hey I hear you, that was me too! We had to fight to be heard. And funny how adults seem to forget their own childhood experiences when judging kids! (Of course sometimes these concerned adults were the popular kids who can't identify with the child outcasts. That is me, I speak up for the little geeks, nerds, dorks, artists, and teachers pets because I was one (the last one most of all) and I know in every generation we live on quite well thank you
