Boy dismantling cold girl Muppet

Does anyone remember a sketch where a boy Muppet (Farley?) fashions a blank Anything Muppet to be the girl of his dreams? And the girl promptly rejects him?

Not taking kindly to receiving the cold shoulder, the boy starts taking away her head and facial features one at a time, or in pairs as the case may be, as he sings a song about it. As he removed her ears (which were actually there when he started) he sang:

"I wanna hold your ear, baby wanna hold it near, baby wanna hold your ear until you hear and realize that, I love you."

He sang a similar verse for everything else he removed.

"I wanna hold your nose, I wanna hold your tooth.
Won't let you breathe or eat until you know the truth, I love you."

The song ended with
"I am going to keep, what I hold dear
Your nose your eyes, your tooth your ear
And I'm gonna hold 'em till you say you love me too!"

After the music stopped, the now blank-faced muppet snapped back
"I could never love you." and walked off.

As the boy is wallowing in sadness, the facial features which he had left on the wall suddenly come to life, via a sort of tablecloth over the wall. A different girl's voice, higher-pitched, says "I think you're kinda cute! Hee-hee-hee-hee" The boy's response is "Gosh."

I seem to recall Bert singing this song on one of the old Sesame Street albums, but I can't recall which one.

That song is sung by Bert on the newer cd "Sesame Road." But I never knew what it was from.

The male muppet's name was Maurice in this skit. After he assembled her facial parts he said, "Sweetheart, I love you, love you. love you." She replied, "Maurice, I don't love you." After he finished his song and his gruesome dismembering, she says, "Maurice, I could never love you. Hmmph."
Then he sighs, "Alas, she could never love me." That's when that tablecloth with the body parts he set on it says, "Don't worry sweetheart, I think you're kind of cute. heeheeheeheeheehee". I think his final word was , "Gasp."
This was one of the few sketches of classic SS I didn't like too much. Didn't seem like it was too entertaining (maybe some enjoyed the song and music though) nor educational (I guess they taught about functions of body parts like ears for hearing and noses for breathing but quite a bizarre way of going about it! )
P.S.
Also rather gruesome was the line from the cartoon with the little boy Bumble where his mother tells the pigs, "Just scram or else I'll slice you into ham!"

Wow! I NEVER would have thought they did it differently on the show than they did on the album! And by the way, it was originally on the album Bert's Blockbusters.

One more thing about this skit: Does anyone who remembers it well know who did the voices of these 2 muppets? No question that Frank Oz did the girl muppet. And it sounded like Jim Henson did Maurice. If so, yet another Henson and Oz skit!

And I believe Jerry Nelson did the tablecloth of body parts who appeared at the end.

Hey nice observation, Xerus. I forgot about the third voice at the end with that tablecloth girl. So it looks like this was a skit with the 3 classics - Henson, Oz, and Nelson!
