Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom!

Does anyone remember this jazzy skit form the early 70's?

It starts with a huge blue circle on a red screen and the circle becomes all wavy while clapping sounds are heard. Then in comes Big Jeffy in the circle and he sings this song that goes. "Boom-Boom-Boom-Boom", non stop. Then Grover comes in and joins Jeffy with the singing, but Grover sings, "Scab-Dab-Scabba-Dabba-Dab!" Then a purple AM girl with blonde curly hair and a spotted dress comes in and joins in the singing. But she sings. "Sweep-Peep-Sweepa-Peep!"

Then the three muppets have fun singing their nonsense songs all together. But then Jeffy walks away leaving Grover and the girl singing their songs. Then Grover leaves leaving the girl singing on her own. Finally the girl stops singing and leaves. And the clapping beat turns to applause.

Hey Xerus, I brought this very same sketch up 2 weeks ago in the "What is your favorite Grover sketch?" thread, only our descriptions and spellings are slightly different. Take a look at post#35 and the follow up from Convincing John who thought I was referring to a similar skit:

Yes, I see you did write that before me. Sorry if I had missed it. But yeah, that sketch was cool. I've been even singing that Boom, Boom, song all my life whenever I was by myself.

way back when, there was a street insert before this segment. One kid was sitting on the stoop clapping, and one by one, all the other members of the cast would come by, sit down, and start clapping as well. that's how they got the strong clapping rhythm going, then it would dissolve into the Muppet segment w/ Big Jeffy, Grover, and the little girl. Neat, huh?

Was the Grover in this sketch the old dark green one or the blue one?

Was this the same AM girl as the one in the first show of the season w/ Gordon creating an AM family?

I assume this had to be '70 or so because the character of Big Jeffy was only the first two seasons correct?

If anyone has a photo of this, I'd like to see it.

also the way i remember this one he man wasn't saying boom in the sense when you hear an explosion to me it more like sounded as if he was sing bom with a long o sound.

I recognize Big Jeffy, Grover was definitely blue, but exactly what the AM girl Muppet slips my mind. Oh, well. Two out of three ain't bad.
