For some reason I always thought that there were different size Bobo's. The full-body Bobo and a head-and-shoulder's Bobo that was controlled like a normal puppet. Now, is this just something I made up or imagined or read somewhere inaccurately or made up? Or is there any truth to it?

Bobo started as one of the bear puppets from Muppets Take Manhattan and was both a costume puppet and "upper body" puppet. I don't think they've ever used the full body variation since it was modified into Bobo.

Wasn't the Bobo on Muppets tonight a bag muppet like Cookie or Rowlf?

What do you mean by bag Muppet?
Where the arms aren't de-tached from the body, ala Count, Dr.Teeth, and Fozzie, and the arms seem to come up and the muppets have a baggy body, like Rowlf, Cookie, Herry, Oscar, Telly, and for Muppets Tonight, Bobo.
