I had one of these about 2 years ago

it was right before my graduation ceremony and my daughter and I both had the same stomach virus I was throwing up and having diarrhea and so was Megan. She was only 1 year old at the time so I had to carry her around, it was very hard as my legs felt like rubber from the dehydration on account of all the vomiting and defecating.

I've been drinking cola to calm my stomach down. I'm not throwing up though...just nauseous. As for the runs,I'm having those.:embarrassed:

Blech! I haven't had that type of bug for a couple of years (knock on wood) but I know how it feels so I hope you feel better soon! Keep downing the fluids if you can, so you don't get too dehydrated! You've probably heard it, but the best things to settle your stomach are the clear liquids like Sprite, Ginger Ale, water...I know, really bland, but trust me, it will help.

I think we have 7 UP or Sprite in the house. I'll look tomorrow. Thanks for being concerned.
Now...if there weren't so many stupid food commercials on TV.

Crackers and Sprite pick me up.

But, I now have a cold, so neither one is going to do me much good. But the oatmeal supper I had was delicious!

I've been eating crackers & drinking Sprite. I've even been eating Jello. But nothing is working.
I hope your cold gets better Kev.

Don't eat the Jello. You need solids; Jello will feel good, but liquefies in your tummy. Stuff like crackers and rice swell up and take up some of the extraneous fluids in your body that you don't necessarily need. Hope soemthing works though, so you can feel good!

Thanks for the well-wishes, btw!

My sister is a nurse, and she was saying to keep up the Jello. I've tried eating solids but it hurts my stomach:frown:
Saw the doctor (FINALLY!) today & he said I might need my gallbladder out:eek: I need to have a CAT scan done on Monday morning.(One of my cats was trying to give me a CAT scan of his own on my stomach but he has REALLY big paws!

Oh. In that case, listen to your sister.

You eating gelatin or pudding? I would love some gelatin, but I love pudding better.

That's bad news about the surgery though. If they take out your gall bladder, will you be cowing down since you won't have any "gall?"

Seriously, even though I make light of the matter, I hope all turns out well. Keep us informed!

And hurry up and get well!!
