Anyone remember the old clips they'd show in between segments with one or two people in what looked like black bean bags? They'd roll around over and around, up a ramp, and over an edge, etc...

If anyone has any clips of them, or pictures, I'd love to get my hands on one or two, just so I could show my friends what I'm talking about. No one else I know remembers them!

Thanks!

This might help

There are several clips like that. What you are describing are clips of the Mummenschanz. They're a mime troupe from Switzerland. Jim had them as guests on the Muppet Show in 1976/77, and then they got to appear on Sesame Street. There are some other clips where they actually perform their "creatures" in front of a bunch of kids, including a frog, a caterpillar, a fly, a monkey, and others.

Back in the 70's, they had a very successful run on Broadway thanks to Jim's exposure, and they still perform today.

I actually got to see Mummenshanz last fall perform at the University of Washington. It was an awesome show with a definite early seventies Sesame spirit to it. If anyone gets a chance to see them perform, please go. It definitely is a performance that is worth seeing.
