I'm watching the Weather Channel right now (looks like we may get a few flurries early this year :excited: ), and right this very minutes who's talking about gasoline, fuels, and cars? Bill Nye the Science Guy, and I've got to say MAN he's changed! He's so old looking now and his voice is all deep and monotone... how LONG has his old show been off the air?!

Gosh I loved Bill Nye the Science Guy, we watched the show ALL THE TIME in school. I still got the insane theme song in my tiny eggheadish brain. :zany:

He came out with another show a year and a half ago, but it sorta failed due to lack of support by many PBS affiliates.

I really liked watching Bill Nye and the gang on PBS in the afternoons back in the day. Brings back some nice memories.

He's cool and such, but he hates flash photography! He was definately a grumbler when I went up to get a book signed!

Well, he was keynote speaker at a conference for the South Carolina Science Teacher's Association. And me and my Dad tagged along with my mother, some of the science teachers walked out on his thing however, because he was quite against what a lot of them believed in teaching. He's pro-macro-evolution, and many of the teachers in SC only teach micro-evolution alongside creationism. (usually) -- (macro-evolution is the teaching "we come from apes", and micro-evolution is like how the bird's beaks over change of time adapted to what they needed in their enviroment) -- And there was some other stuff that they walked out on, I'd have to ask my mother more about it, cause I was more or less "It's Bill Nye!!! YAY!!!" kinda got blindsided about what he was talking about, because as this was mainly for adult teachers, he didn't act like he did on the TV show. XD

I'm smart....but not that smart. XD Either way, I waited an hour and a half to get to him, I had two books, and two cameras. He signed both of the books, and with a grudgeance he allowed me to take two pictures. He dosn't like flash photography, and I told the lady (who was taking the pictures) that she dosn't have to do the flash for both of them at all. So he didn't mind it so much.

Sorry for the long drawn out thing. Just figured I'd throw my two dollars in there!
