We did however a few years ago used to have drawings for little PBS Kids' related merchandise, one year it was that new CD album about Elmo and an all-bird orchestra; but they stopped doing that, oddly enough the same year I started interning and performing puppets.

They stopped doing the pledge drives all together... just regarding children's shows, they still do pledge drives during the evenings in March and August, but they stopped them for the kids' shows because apparently they weren't making enough money of them to meet their requirements for a while. It's a shame really, I only got to performer my little monster pal for three pledge drives, but I was thrilled just to do it, and I ended up picking up the nickname "The Puppet Master" around the studio, even though I was "co-starring" with another puppeteer and her puppet who was there for a lot longer than I was.

Wow, that must have been cool, at least you got the opportunity!

It was a blast! Frank Oz was right when he said they make it look easy, because they DO; I never realized how much attention you have to pay to your monitor and make sure you puppet's posture, position, and focus is working for the scene, but I quickly learned that and felt comfortable with it.
