Big Bird in china

I was wondering if any one know when Big Bird in chna was produce? I would like to know. At the end of the speical it says 1982 but on the back of the case it says 1987. Could some one help me?

I think 1987 was when it was put into home video. That's when home video started to become popular. If you look at the case of "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street", that will say 1987 as well.

It's been twenty+ years, but I think it was rebroadcast on PBS (they do that alot for SS specials - the network helps pay for them and PBS gets the second broadcast window). I remember watching this special as a kid with those annoying PBS pledge breaks interrupting it.
