Wow, that's cool! And she's from my home state, too!
Really? That's awesome! Yeah, I was named after her, and my brother was named after James Stewart.

Yeah, the stage version of Hair is quite different, but the movie is good, too (I played Claude when we did the show in college).

What's Up, Doc? is one of my all-time faves too! Nobody that I recommend the film to has ever heard of it before! They're like, "is that with Bugs Bunny or something?"

And American Graffiti...one of my top 10 favorite films of all time! I consider it the best thing George Lucas has ever done.

The Party - lol! "Birdie Num-Nums."
LOL! The Party is such a cool movie! I love the drunk waiter!
You have awesome tastes... I don't know many people who know those movies! Yeah, when I menchion What's Up, Doc? to people they're like, "So, it's a cartoon?" and I go, "noooo, it stars Babara Steisand? Ringin' a bell?"
I totally agree, American Graffiti is an awesome but under-rated movie- I have all the records!
Hey, you played Claude in college? That's so AWESOME!

Also, I love Prizzi's Honor. Dunno if I'd call it the Best Movie Ever! but I do really enjoy watching it. And I don't think Jack Nicholson has ever been funnier.

that's neat! I was just named after my dad :smirk: .. he's not a great actor, but he's a good dad
Aww, heehee, that's nice of ya. Eveyone here thinks it's so cool that I was named after Katherine Hepburn- I love it! I told my friends who I was named after and they just gave me this really blank look...

Man! No offence, but your friends sound kind of cold. Assuming they know who she is.:stick_out_tongue:

~ I happy you have a good Dad. I'm sure in his time he had to endure a lot of teasting. Prolly more than you. In today's day and age more and more people are giving their children unique names. Such as:

~ Apple (daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin)
~ Audio Science (son of Shannyn Sossaman).
~ Fifi Trixabelle (daughter of Bob Geldof)
~ Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily (daughter of Michael Hutchence)
~ Jermajesty (son of Jermaine Jackson)
~ Moon Unit (daughter of Frank Zappa)
~ Phinnaeus (son of Julia Roberts)
~ Pilot Inspektor (son of Jason Lee)
~ Prince Michael (son of Michael Jackson)
~ Puma (daughter of Erykah Badu)
~ Rumer Glenn (daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis)
~ Sage Moonblood (son of Sylvester Stallone)
~ Speck Wildhorse (son of John Mellencamp)
~ Tu (daughter of Rob Morrow)
~ Anytimepally (beloved child of Mr. & Mrs. Anytimepally)

So Anytimepally is quite a posh and modern fit. I rather like your name. :excited:

Another of my favorite movies is The Night of the Hunter, which was the only film directed by Charles Laughton. The film had a style which became influential to well-known directors such as the Coen Brothers, David Lynch, and Terrence Malick. It has become culturally significant and features many themes amongst its many horrific, harrowing images. To this day, I find it hard to think of any movie as "scary" when I remember seeing Shelley Winters... well, those who have seen the movie know exactly what image I'm speaking of.
~ I love David Lynch movies. Erasure Head & Blue Velvet are my faves. I also like Como Agua Por Chocolate [Like Water For Chocolate]

Some of these movies I haven't heard of before

I haven't heard of some of these movies that some of you are talking about because they are way before my time.:embarrassed: I'm just young in the group and can only understand what my generation understands.:halo: I was born in 1986, so that means that I was an 80s child.

~ no worries! I'm a fan of 1950's movies and most 60's, 70's & 80's horror movies & most of them are before my time as well. I do tend to like more of the obscure tho.
