I found on the closing credits to Episode 2 of this short-lived but rare live-action Hanna-Barbera series, there was a credit to Jerry L. Nelson, who voiced Verne. When skimming through the episode, I notoced a lady seated on a garbage can interacting with Verne, he didn't look nor sound like the Muppet performer (the Muppet performer had a nasally sounding voice and based on two Sesame Street News Flash segments I saw, he had a beard in those segments, while the one on Benji, Zax and the Alien Prince looked to be clean-shaven. Was the Jerry Nelson on Benji, Zax and the Alien Prince the same guy as the Muppet performer?

The episode is on YouTube, if you want to see for yourself.
