No, I think it was more a case of serving the particular story. One of the main themes of the movie is Gonzo feeling alone. The presence of Camilla would undermine that theme, so they omitted her... otherwise there's no conflict/resolution to the tale.I can only guess that at a certain time The Powers That Be were throttling back on that relationship, as it might be interpreted in...unsavory ways.
By the way, the title of this story caught my eye because of a particular definition of 'blue'...
For the past eight years I've been doing improv comedy locally with a troupe that primarily works for charity. So we made a decision at the beginning to keep the shows clean, or in comedy parlance to avoid "working blue" (or "going blue" or even "being blue").
Interestingly enough, we recently tried out an adults only format, and although we got a lot more naughty suggestions from the audience, and did expand our vocabularies a bit, ironically we got the biggest laughs of the night in the cleanest skit.
So much for being blue.
