It's not on DVD since it is a broadway show. Plays don't get put on DVD. It owuld only be on DVD if they decided to make am ovie adaptation from it, which wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Oh...guess i'll have to take a flight over there then
A movie, still filmed on stage tho, could be great!

I've seen some clips on youtube, and it seems to be a really great show.

Shows are sometimes recorded as is on stage and distributed. This was done with Broadway shows such as Cats and Sweeney Todd.

Speaking of musicals, how do you think Rocky Horror Show would do as a puppet-show?
I think it would be cool as there are some really cool characters that could be transformed into really cool puppets.

A lot of plays and musicals have been recorded for DVD. Certainly in London they are recorded, often with just a single camera as part of the theatre museums archive, but often shows are recorded for general release...so you never know...especially if there's money to be made!

Shows are occasionally restaged for DVD/VHS release, after the show has closed, recorded in a studio such as Cats, Joseph and the Trevor Nunn Oklahoma!
