Hello, I am a solo puppeteer who's show has (finally) started to roll. Most of the places I perform have been at farmer's markets, art fairs, and coffee shops. I have found that I am not louder than a firetruck, and will eventually burn out my vocal chords trying to be heard over street/park noise.

My question to those who perform their show live, what PA system & headset mics do you use? I have been considering the Fender Passport 150 for the PA, yet have not dug up much info on microphones. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

Let me preface this by saying i have done 5 to 8 shows a week for the last year with these and theyve never let me down!!

the awesome thing about this wireless mic headset is that its ONE AAA Battery...and it doesnt require the box clipped to your belt... its built right into the back of the headset...

and this PA set up is an all in one system... with the sound mixer and amp included in a tidy little package... it all even attaches to the back of the speakers for safe/easy transport

it also comes in a smaller cheaper version

hope this helps!

Thanks for the suggestions Chris. The Yamaha gear is a bit out of my budget right now. I only play out about 1-3 times a month, and have less than $500 to spend. What sort of venues do you perform at?

i will say this though... i bought a cheap secondary wireless unit...and it pooped out after about 20 uses... so just be careful with your selection... lotta cheap stuff on the market thats pretty much disposable
