well, i told Luke i'd let him know when i found information on the European version of BotCon. they announced it today. the main site is at: http://www.botconeurope.com but you cannot pre-register yet. however...since the people in charge of BotCon are based in the states (here in Indy, from what i understand) their own site already has the pre-registration stuff up. go to: http://www.botcon.com and click on the button that says "BotCon Europe". if i'm doing the math right, it's actually pretty reasonable at 12£ for the whole weekend. however, it looks like the exclusive toy will be different, as you can order up to 4 at 5£ each.
Simon Furman WILL be there, and he really is just the nicest guy. i actually got to talk to him for a few minutes when he was at BotCon. he was very cool...even signed 4 of my comics for me. i was in fanboy heaven. Neil Kaplan and "Wankus" (RiD Prime and RiD Prowl respectivly) will be there too, and while i wasn't exactly thrilled with their show, they were really quite entertaining in person.
anyway, just thought i'd make sure everyone knew, i know there are a lot of Transformers fans here at MC...
