You did not read wrong on that. The figures will likely be ON shelf in October for Series 2. But You said SHIP, which means not until late November/early December would you see them on shelf.

This is giving me massive head injury...

Ken~

I wanted to tell you that buying these figures has been a treat and that it brought back a recurring dream I used to have while I was growing up. I dreamed that the Disney Store had a display of Muppet action figures for sale the first being Miss Piggy. I remember that the figures in my dream also came with various things such as a hair brush and megaphones and things. And now Palisades is making that all come true! It's seriously awesome!

I also think the idea of releasing a packaged group of chickens and penguins is a great idea because one can never have enouh penguins or chickens.

You said that you would like to make Disney Classic movie figures and Howard Stern. What about Classic TV? More specifically Bewitched characters? There could be a 'mortal wear' Samantha, one for each season (there were eight and if you watch Bewitched Elizabeth Montgomery's hair style and clothing is different each season) a witch Sammy in her flying suit that could come with broom and hat, Durwood with briefcase and various ad proposals, Durwood with golf clubs, Aunt Clara with her bag and umbrella and doorknobs, Serena with guitar, Mrs. Kravitz with a cup of sugar and binoculars, etc...and just three playsets: one big one being 1164 Morning Glory Circle, a small one of Durwood's office at McMann and Tate, and one of the magical grounds where the Witches Convention was held. This line would be perfect for release in 2004 as it will be Bewitched's 40th Anniversary.

Thanks for answering our questions and using our suggestions.

Bewitched is a clever idea but risky. Remember Exclusive Premiere? They released a lot of classic TV stuff that sat on the shelf. Not sure the market woudl supprt the line. Although it would be a cool thing to include ina ressurrection of a "MEGO" line of toys. Oh, if only actors and actressed were not so vain and weird about likenesses...what a great thing it woudl be to do a line like the old MEGO stuff. Like Starsky and Hutch of old, a Sippowitz as a MEGO figure would ROCK THE HOUSE.

Forgive my ignorance, but who was Durwood? Wasn't the husband named Darren Stevens? I'm really confused.

What is MEGO?

Yes, the Exclusive Premiere doll of Samantha was horrible (I still purchased it though:stick_out_tongue: ). I think their stuff sat on the shelf because it wasn't good quality stuff.

These Muppet figures plus the other figures that I have seen from Palisades are the highest quality I have ever seen.

I've heard from reliable sources that Sony Pictures, who owns the rights to Bewitched is planning a whole lot of stuff for the 40th. Hopefully another manufacturer wouldn't release Bewitched figures because I know they wouldn't have that Palisades touch.

I also wanted to say that I think the Electric Mayhem bus would be the best playset EVER! What if Palisades were to release the Muppet movie figures on the movie's 25th annivesaries? In the Muppet Movie line the painted Studebaker would be a must!

Durwood was the name with which Endora always referred to Samantha's husband. I always thought it was funny. It wasn't only Durwood, but Donald, Dum-Dum, Dagwood, Dolphin, etc.

Ken,

With all the posts on here, maybe you missed it. Or maybe you are waiting to answer it in one of your mass questionings, or maybe you are ignoring it for some reason, but what is going on with the Santa Claus line? I'm really anxious about this one. Please tell me it didn't fall through. If it didn't, what are the possibilities of other Rankin/Bass lines? I would love to see one based on the Halloween movie with Boris Karloff and all the monsters!
