Eyebrows are no problem. Animal has a moveable eyebrow...it's doing the pupils side to side that would be a challenge...

Sweetums eyebrows

Ken,
I know you hate 'kung-fu grip" action figures and I'm inclined to agree, but this may be one of those places where you say "there's an exception to every rule". What I was thinking is that you coul hide the trigger (some kind of slider bar across the back) somewhere under the fur and then have the mech ork somewhat similar to the actual puppet. By pushing the slider bar back and ofrth ou make the eyes go back and forth. it's a fairly simple mech and you can get it ot sit in certin positions. Snuffleupagus's eyes work the same way. id on't have the specifics i front of me but I think I have some designs around that I can send you. Or you could try talkin to the workshop people. they probably have better designs. Let me know.

Good suggestion. That was my thought too.

Hey you know what I just noticed? You know how people are comparing the Muppet and Simpson's figs? Well, I was watching the Muppet Show today and then I sat down to watch the Simpson's. Those shows themselves have something in common that I never realized. The same opening "gag".

After the production number, Gonzo blows his trumpet. After the first few episodes, although the production number remained the same something different happened every time he blew it. In the Simpsons, same thing. Same opening credits (except for the chalkboard) and then it finishes with a different gag as the family rushes to the sofa.

Never realized that until tonight. Thought I'd point that out,

W-E-I-R-D....

ken, about the sweetums thing.i have a figure (i forget wich) that can open and close it's eyelids and move it's eyes side to side and up and down.if i find it i could try to find out how.but they were like balls,if you put your finger on the eye it would move in any direction you could move it with you finger.that's my thoughts on the sweetums thing.

now for the numbskull questions!lol.
1.do you think the collecter's club will open before the chicago con?because i know i have alot of resources but i can't provide the whole board with beakers!
2.what shape is the vanishing cream tube?i thought it would be little and round but in the pic it looks like a long tube but i can't tell.

Moving Eyes

I remember back in the 70s (yes, I am that old, i had an Animal hand puppet from JC Pennys. The Eyebrow could move up and down by pressing a lever on the inside of his head.
THe one thing I remember is that all of them had the same problem in that the plastic frame the eyebrow was attached to would scrape against the eye, and the pupils would eventually wear off.
Now I am aware that toy technology is way ahead of where we were 25 years ago, but I still would worry about this with Sweetums. Although this would be a cool feature, it may also damage the toy in the long run. He'd look like a zombie after a few times moving the eyes.

2.did you decide if sweetums will come with the stage and robin?
because some places say he will and others say he wont.

3.did ya decide on the rizz man's acsessories yet?

ken-

are you guys planning on changing the number of figures per series? I hope not, seeing as how I'm 15 without a job and can barely afford 1 figure every 2 weeks.

Actually you could make the argument that the Blackboard gag on the Simpsons coud be compared to the opening of The Muppet Show when Scooter would stick his head in the door and say "(name of guest), Fifteen Seconds to curtain, (name of guest)" then the big number would start, just like the opener for the Simpsons doesn't start until the bell rings and Bart leaves the school....... I also posted this is another thread, but here are more similarities:

Dr Bunsen Honedew (Inventor Whose Creations Never Work) ----- Professor Frink (Ditto)
Bear On Patrol ---- Chief Wiggum
Grampa and Jasper ---- Statler and Waldorf
Ned (Self Rightious Neighbor) --- Sam (Self Rightious Eagle)
Kent Brockman ---- Muppet Newscaster
Wily (Hard To Understand Janitor) --- Swedish Chef (Impossible To Understand Cook)
Kang & Kodos ----- Gonzo
Both Shows Understood The Inherent Humor Of Having Monkeys Prominently Featured In Episodes

There are undoubtedly others, I am just too brain-numb to think of them
