OK so i was all ready to go over to the Collectors Sector and kick hairy yellow butt at the thought of them dissing Muppet Central and actually they are really all rather nice. I think THEY get the impression that WE don't like them because of that slightly hyperactive comment Corey made about WOS collectors "bowing in concession" to the Muppet figure line - obviously they don't know that Corey can be (to put it kindly) slightly over-enthusiastic and passionate at times - and theres nothing wrong with that.

I do agree with their concern over how 'Muppet Central' is going to handle all the new members who come to the board not for the Muppets, but for figure collecting. We've all been waiting for chat, private messaging and upload space but now it seems that all the bandwidth will be taken up with figure talk. I think we need to realise theres more to the Muppets than just action figures right now - if anyones bothered to notice, the Muppets are doing a whole HOUR of radio tomorrow night and you'll all be able to listen to it. Also theres wave upon wave of busts coming out which have got hardly any attention, and 3 Ltd edition watches. Also very few real discussions about the new shows - they are starting shooting on the TV movie in a few weeks - shouldn't MC have an insider digging for information on the script, maybe getting some on-set photographs ?

I just think we are totally losing the plot here - yes the figures do seem to be the 'holy grail' of Muppet merchandise right now and they are fantastic, but you have to remember that without the Muppets themselves there wouldn't be any figures. It'd be nice if our attention could get diverted away just for a few seconds to the other stuff, i assure you Ken will still be here waiting at the door with cheesy nibbles to offer round when you get back ! ;-)

Here, here!

Luke, I could not agree more. Most of the questions have been answered for what's coming out in the next few months and I for one would lke to talk about stuff other than the figures too...I'm glad you brought that up.

"Cheesy Nibbles"?

Mmmmmmmmm....cheeeesy...

Lunch Boxes

Okay, so when and where can we get 'em?

Not sure about the cheesy nibbles... think I'd prefer some tortilla chips with mine.

Mike will have to answer that one. I have no clue where the mini lunchboxes sold in to.

Actually the lunchboxes are a very cool idea. We could never take muppet lunchboxes to school for fear of getting beaten up by the Transfomers kids (i secretly paraded around as one of them, but was really a double agent for the Muppet cause). If things got really bad then the Care Bear or My Little Pony lunchbox clique would try to kiss you in the toilets. Now i can safely take a Muppet lunchbox to work and keep my mini-sandwiches from going stale.

Actually a Muppet Labs lunchbox might not be a bad idea for the future - it'd probably look good seeing as they are like a metallic design aren't they ? Perhaps it could have a secret compartment or something for gadgets and gizmos (or stopping the school bully from stealing your calculator)

surprisingly, not many retailers bought into the lunchbox program. You'll have to try your local comics shop.

We should have our cart working this week (cross fingers), so you can check there too

Thanks, Mike!

A while back Ken mentioned something Henson had said about Piggy merchandise not selling all that well. Any ideas as to why that is? Perhaps over saturation because so much Piggy stuff is produced? It just seems odd to me, because there is a ton of Piggy stuff out there and why would people keep producing it if it doesn't sell that well?
