You can acquire a streaming internet player to hook into your TV for under 30 bucks. Conversion units to non HDTVs takes a little bit of investigation, but it can be done.

Things like Arrested Development Season Four would not have happened without digital streaming. This technology puts the power back in the hands of audiences rather than network executives. Amazon's service has companies pitch pilots that they accept or decline based on user feedback. That's groundbreaking.

The world of having physical copies of media is changing and I'm not pleased with that either. Maybe they'll figure out a fix for that. For now, the good far outweighs the bad. Think of all the crummy shows like Zombieland that will get booted by users and all the canceled programs like Arrested Development that will get a second chance. That's all due to digital streaming.

My solution for such things is to be proactive and figure out the solution and there are many of them.
