Oh, it's hardly just an 80s word: whenever we did pledge drives at PBS, one of our main characters, a life-sized talking monkey, would always address everyone as either a "Weird Dude" or "Weird Dudette".

Oh.. well, I was hoping we could go on a walk... then we could drink brandy and listen to Bach or Chopin. I packed a picnic dinner of lamb and caviar....
