Season 53 will feature a new segment called, "Big Bird's Bedtime Stories," where Rudy and Abby will have a sleepover at Big Bird's nest and Big Bird will tell them stories of "Sesame Street" from back in the day with clips from earlier episodes, skietches and inserts. Repeat episodes will have this structure as well allowing repeat episodes to go as far back as mid-80s.
Also, a new DVD is in the works: "Sesame Street: Lost Episodes and Material." This will feature the long lost episode #0845, "Snuffy's Parents Get a Divorce," and bonus clips of material that never made it to air on the show such as the Coyote/Road Runner segments. This will also feature interviews with Leslie Carrera, Bob McGrath and Sonia Monzono. Also there will be a bonus disk with a tribute to Emillio Delgado with Luis-centered episodes and inserts.
