April Fools: Muppet Treasure Island 25th anniversary line coming

It's been announced that The Muppet Show on Disney Plus has been so successful that Diamond Select Toys will once again release Muppet figures at retail, including the canceled series 4 (including the figures that have been released as exclusives), but also, in honor of Muppet Treasure Island's 25th anniversary, they'll be putting out a line of MTI figures.

Like the Muppet sets, these will be two-packs (some with more). Series one will include:

• Captain Smollett, Polly Lobster, and Sam Arrow.
• Squire Trelawney, Mr. Bimbo, and Clueless Morgan.
• Gonzo, Rizzo, and Mad Monty

So that brings out each of the main bad guys, and some notable characters left for a series 2.

Speaking of which, there will also be a line of MTI Mini-Mates. Including:

• Captain Smollett and Benjamina Gunn
• Squire Trelawney and Mad Monty
• Gonzo and Rizzo - exclusive
• Clueless Morgan and Polly - exclusive
