Yesterday I found a suitcase at the mall and decided to bring it to the help desk, but the suitcase accidently opened. When I put the paers back in, I found out that the suitcase belonged to somebody at Koch Records, and looked for info on Sesame Street albums. Sure enough, I found surprisingly detaield information. I also found that this representative signed a contract stating that he won't give information out until the releases are officially announced... But I didn't sign anything! I have got some good news and some bad news.

First, the good news: There will be a lot of releases this year. Rereleases will include Everybody's Record (retitled Everybody's Song), Jim Henson: A Sesame Street Celebration, Born to Add, Platinum Too! and Si9nbg! The Songs of Joe Raposo, plus a special two-disc release caled Old School, which is actualy the first-ever CD release of The Sesame Street Book and Record and Sesame Street 2. Hopw exciting!

From what I've looked at, Born to Add will be a mix of the original and rerelease, featuring all of the songs from both albums, plus I Want a Monster to Be My Friend, Letter B, Hey Food, Cereal Girl, I Am Chicken, Octopus Blues, and Barn in the USA.

The Jim Henson and Joe Raposo albums will be the same as they'd been previosuly released, excdept that they will be dual-disc releases, with DVD sides. A handful of songs from both albums will be included on the DVD sides, along with extra content:

The Joe Raposo DVD side will include:

For the Jim Henson albums, there are quite a few segmnets that I wanted to include on the DVD side, but forgot. I wanted to include "In Search of Dr. Livingstone", "Sinister Sam's Itchy Trigger Finger", and "The Anything-in-the-Whole-Wide-World Prize Game". But I forgot.

I had some problems with the Joe Raposo one. I kept forgeting what the majority of included songs were on that album, and unlike Jim Henson, Joe Raposo most likely didn't work on any non-music segments.

For the two-disc Old School set, I thought about making both discs dual-discs, but didn't. And for some reason I keep forgetting what the majority of songs on Sesame Street 2 are. I wanted to list it including segments not on the Old School DVD sets, but many of the songs on the first album were release don Old School Vol. 1 (I could jhave included the true original Rubber Duckie, but th audio there is differnet from the album version).

I guess if all thatw as true this would have been great. The albums that have been released bu Genius were reissues of albums that are stil best-sellers, while most of the ones I mentioned have been out of print for years. I initially didn't plan on including Platinum III. That was alast-minute addiiton (and therefore the rerelease of Platinum Too was forced, as it would be weird for Genius to reissue the firs tone and make a third one without reissuing the second one as well).

I had planned for weeks to make a fake track listing for an album featuring songs from 1997 until today. Due to the sudden plan for a third Platinum release, some songs "released" for the first timee ver had to be included on multiple albums released at the same time. I knew that Abby Cadabby has sung at least three songs, but I forget what one of the titles is (despite just recently seeing that segment). I wanted to make it look likie Everybody's Album was to add an Abby song on the rerelease, and wanted her on both Platinum III and that new release of recent songs, so Because We're Friends was mentioned on two albums, and because of that I didn't list that on the newer original album (as then that song'd be included on three albums at once).

I was originally going to mention that the "Musical Fun" release would include three upcoming songs from the next season, but then chose not to talk much about it outside of track listings, and wasn't sure fi I should have just listed some made-up song titles or not. I would have included a new Big Bird song, a song from Abby and Mumford, and a Grover song (maybe having Grover team up with Abby for a song).
