You took the words right out of my mouth BEAR. I was intending to ask that question in this thread. It does seem a little strange doesn't it since Jim, Jerry, Frank, Dave and Richard were more or less the main core Muppeteers weren't they?

It would have been very interesing to see them as a muppet quintet.

yeah frank puppet looks nothing like him. Its obviously his voice tho,

They we're created before TMS, in the early-mid 70's. Plus, that was the main three muppeteers at the time before TMS.

They were in "The Perry Como Christmas Special" from 1974.
