Well... basically, I'm starting cause I'm wondering what happened to the great threads started by BlueAM? He kept finding AM characters from sketches I don't even know about, and you guys gave him such great help with the descripts. The problem is that mayhaps they're a bit too scattered about through the forum sections. So, I'm proposing BlueAM use this thread to ask for any new characters he finds, and for the rest of you to post descripts. Also, please remember to help me out by talking about how best they should be added to my Muppet Listings.
Well, hope to hear from you guys soon, and have a good night.

To get you guys started... here's what I need for now.
1 How best would you add/list the AM characters from Judy Collins's "Fisherman Song"?
2 How best would you add/list the Muppet woodsman who sang about nature?
3 How best would you add/list the AM characters from the song "I'm So Lonely"?
a. Would you list the lead singer as a single entry?
b. Would you list all the gospel singers as a single group entry, apart from the lead singer?
c. Would you list them all as one group entry?
And most importantly, how would you add/list them?
4 In the same line as the question above, how would you add/list the AM characters from the song "Long Time No See"?

And a couple of others I thought of as obscure characters still not yet mentioned.
5 How would you add/list the AM who tried to sell bad words, including the word "No" to Elmo?
If you could, please help by describing what this character looked like.
6 How best would you add/list the characters from the song "Going to Saint Ives"?
If you could, please describe what these characters looked like.
Thanks for the help, and hope to hear from you guys soon.

1. I'd call them "The Singing Fishermen", since TMS has "The Singing Firemen".
2. I'd label him as "The Woodsman", since he's made at least two appearances: one time is the nature song, and another is from a News Flash segment.
3. I guess I'd label the choir as "The Lonely Singer Choir". The AM that sang lead could be: The Lonely Man (SS, from the song "I'm So Lonely")
4. I don't know.
5. Never heard of him.
6. Never seen it.

Thanks MuppetDude, will go with your inferences for these guys.
A bit of info on #5. There was this episode where an AM guy was standing on the corner. He spots Elmo and calls him forward to sell him a word or two. He ends up selling Elmo the word "No", and Elmo's to use that word whenever anyone asks him something. The next scene is Biff asking Elmo to get him a cup of coffee in a good-natured way. But things get a little creepy or unnatural when Elmo just keeps saying "No" to Biff's request. María comes in and intervenes, getting to the root of the problem. She finds the AM seller and confronts him, finding out what other words the guy had beneath his coat. She's kind of disgusted, never saying what other words there were, forcing the guy to dump them in the wastebasket outside Hooper's Store before running him out of SS.

Hope that helps you find him.

Also, I believe the sketch for the song of "Going to Saint Ives" can be found on one of the SSU episodes that was shown on Noggin. At least, that's where I heard and kind of saw it.
Oh yes, and one last question. How would you add the AM lady who sang the Q-Question song, interrupted by Grover's wrong answers?
Hope to hear from you soon and have a good day.

I've never seen the "bad word" salesman, as you put it. Also, "St. Ives" is in one of the 80s episodes of Unpaved.

As for the little girl, "The Muppet Alphabet Album" has her listed as "A Little Girl"

OK, gotta keep pace with BlueAM's new thread and the descripts he's gotten so far. So, my questions are....

1 How would it be best to add the eight female AM characters who appear in the song "There's Nothing We Women Can't Do"?
2 How would it be best to list the western-type cowboys who sang backup for Don Music on the song "Whistle, Whistle, Little Bird"?
Please post here ASAP and hope to hear from youg guys and gals soon.
Have a good night.

I don't think you should add these characters; they don't have much of a "gimmick" (like hippies, cheerleaders, etc.). The women are basically eight AM women who sing. However, I don't have the clip yet, so maybe once I see the clip again I may change my opinion. But I don't think the Muppet cowboys should be added, either; for me, when a character (or characters) becomes impossible to find a name for, they probably shouldn't be listed, and for both of these, I can't come up with any names. Sorry.

Well, sokay. Can understand your points MuppetDude. Deanmo19 posted descripts of these in BlueAM's latest thread "The Count Must Need Help" so maybe that can help you till you get the clips you're searching. For now, would appreciate the help with the international SS characters. Also, posted the characters from Rhonda Rat's interviews from JHAS with which I need help in the "Muppets Listing 13.0" thread.
Hope to hear from you soon, and thanks for all the help.
