I have a family member who recently filed - make sure, if your finances are connected to somebody (like, for example, a school loan), that it doesn't affect THEIR credit :frown:

Hurts the credit, but not as bad as folks say it does--one can still get loans, but with a higher interest rate because they know that once you file you can't file again for 7 years or so.

Whoever files has to go see a bankruptcy attorney as well who will lead him through the other steps.
