Anybody have memories of Big Bird's concerts?

In Caroll Spinney's autobiography, he talks about doing a series of concerts based around Big Bird conducting. In fact he devotes an entire chapter to them. And recently Copper Pot Pictures has uploaded a couple of clips from what I assume is an Austrailian TV broadcast (I wasn't aware one was recorded for television).

Here are the two clips:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srFFK7gGJec&feature=relmfu

Both of those clips kinda come off as "dark" to me, with Oscar pretending to have eaten Big Bird and Big Bird having to bite Shivers' beak in order to shut him up.

Anyway, does anybody here have any memories of actually seeing the concerts? Seems nobody here has ever talked about them. In a post on the I Am Big Bird thread the Copper Pot people confirm that the austrailian concert that we've seen clips from are from 1984. If it was indeed broadcast I wonder what the title was.

Hiya!

Dave from Copper Pot here. It was the Australian concert from 1984. We checked the tape--here's the story. The program was called, quite simply, "BIG BIRD IN AUSTRALIA."

I had also made a note to myself that the titles are "Awesomely 80s."

Hope that helps answer your questions!
