I'm actually a Scooby fan, but I'm too upset to talk about it right now. I'll have to get back to you.

I'm actually a huge Scooby-Doo fan myself! Well, actually, I like mainly the 1969-1979 Scooby-Doo cartoons, and "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo." The only Scrappy-Doo -related Scooby cartoons I like are "Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School" and "Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf." I also like some of the direct-to-video movies, mainly "Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost," "Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase" and "Scooby-Doo and the Legend of the Vampire." But I don't like "What's New Scooby-Doo" or "Shaggy and Scooby-Doo Get a Clue." AND I don't like the 1994 "Arabian Nights" TV movie. Bad animation and character designs, plus it was basically a rip-off of "Tiny Toons" and "Animaniacs," in terms of writing and gags and music.

Speaking of Scooby, I am planning on some SD/Muppet crossover fanfics. I'm still working on "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?" where the Muppet Babies tag along with them and help solve the mysteries! Baby Bunsen and Baby Beaker will occasionally appear in some mysteries to help them out, and a couple of episodes will have Baby Robin with them as well (Frank Welker will pull quadruple duty here as Fred, Baby Kermit, Baby Skeeter and Baby Beaker!) And I will also do...

"The New Scooby Movies:" The Scooby gang will often have the adult Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo and Rowlf tagging along, and in each episode a different Muppet Show Muppet will make a guest appearance with the main celebrity! For instance, Crazy Harry in the Addams Family episode, Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem in the Josie and the Pussycats and Sonny & Cher episodes, Statler and Waldorf in the first Don Knotts episode, Scooter in the Jerry Reed episode, Robin the Frog in the Cass Elliot episode, etc.

"The Scooby-Doo Show" first two seasons will have Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Rizzo, Scooter and Rowlf tagging along, with an occasional Muppet cameo. The third season, since the first nine episodes in this season originally used the 1969 opening sequence, the Muppet Babies will be with them once again.

"Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo" first season will mainly have Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Rizzo, Pepe the King Prawn, Johnny Fiama, Sal Minella, Bobo the Bear and Clifford (with sunglasses). A running gag will have one of the newer Muppet characters (like Johnny or Pepe) often commenting on how annoying Scrappy-Doo is after the famous hated puppy does one of his famous feats (like "Lemme at 'em! I'll sock em!" or "Puppy power"!) The second season will have just Kermit, Fozzie and Robin the Frog with Shaggy, Scooby and Scrappy.

Not sure if I'll do any of the 1982-1984 Scooby stories, but the "13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo" will have Kermit, Robin, Fozzie, Miss Piggy and Animal together with our heroes.

"A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" will have the Muppet Kids versions of Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Scooter, Janice and Rowlf.

Get a Clue, I liked for the simple fact it was one of the different Scooby cartoons. Scooby is known for MUCH more than Ghost Chasing. Laff-a-lympics for example. These little breaks help keep the ghost chasing bits from being monotonous, and all the while showing the characters outside of the normal routines.

Of course, I had several issues with the show. I HATED the new character designs and theme song. And I never did like the voice that had play Shaggy (they have multiple other Shaggy VA's besides Casey Casem- but they didn't use any of them). Scott Menville's childlike voice just wasn;'t a good fit.

Plus, I have to say, Phibes was the only good part of the show. The character was wasted in this show, I feel. And I especially liked how he had a Burns/Smithers relationship with Dr. Trebla.... (SPOILER alert... Dr. Trebla was actually Uncle Albert in disguise. A mole, if you will). I feel the final episode was the best work they did in the entire show... though, it really didn't have much competition, to be frank.

What's new,. well, actually, I like that even more than the old series. They really went all out in different technologies to hide the different crooks. Not just the same old "he used a costume and a projector" stuff. Plus, I felt it had better self satire than the films did. The films, much as I like them, had a Brady Bunch movie style of self satire. Though I REALLY loved the assides to Pup named Scooby. I believe there was even a reference to Pup in What's New.

Plus, I have to say, Mindy Cohen is the BEST Velma VA since the very first one. I REALLY hated the Velma they used in the 70's. She had a deeper voice, and (frankly) the voice actress couldn't act that well.

I also kinda liked Phibes, too. Jeff Bennett gave him a funny voice. But I totally hated Robi. I was annoyed by his bumbling antics and calling Scooby as "Rooby-Roo" and his "Inspector Gadget"/"G.I. Joe"-style safety tips ("Don't hesitate to buckle up!") I also disliked Shaggy's new voice. However, Casey Kasem DID voice Shaggy's Uncle Albert (but he didn't do the Dr. Trebla voice) And thank god Casey Kasem still voices Shaggy in the new made-for-video movies.

One thing I don't really like about the recent Scooby cartoons made by WB is how they don't use the famous classic Hanna-Barbera sound effects as often anymore, mainly just for some exaggerated comedy sequences with Scooby and Shaggy, but that's about it. This started with "Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island," and unfortunately it carried over to "What's New, Scooby-Doo?" as well. The notable exceptions are "Scooby-Doo and the Legend of the Vampire" and "Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico," both which ultized the classic H-B sound FX heavily, and also brought back the original surviving voice cast, even Velma's original voice actress returned! The only exception was Scooby's voice, done by Frank Welker (as a result, Scooby sounded more like Brain from "Inspector Gadget") They also remade the classic Scooby background music (almost sounded more like music for a SD video game). And they had the gang designed in their classic outfits as well. This retro format worked especially well in "Scooby-Doo and the Legend of the Vampire." Now if only they could do a full Scooby-Doo series in this retro style

But then again, I didn't like a lot of the spinoffs of HB characters back in the day. Or, I just didn't like the ideas (I haven't seen them all).

I finally saw Yogi's Space Race (one episode), and I felt it was just a retread of Wacky Races with unfunny characters shoved in it (I liked Fender Bender 500, though- a later useage of Wacky Races and HB characters). Plus, it was almost painful to watch.

There were others I just didn't dig the thought of either (after reading about them... Love to see them, though). I doubt I'd ever want to see Pebbles and bamm Bamm's teenage solo show. Though I did like the Tv specials where they were adults.

If you never sen that show before, it's pretty good along with the Flintstone Comedy hour and comedy show as well. But the special where they got married and then the one were they had kids I liked too! Rocky and Chip were their names I believe.

I like the old Scooby-Doo Shows not the new ones, the new shows/movies are not any good (maybe i'm older and not look at them the same way back when I was a kid.) But the old ones are good, may-be they have child-hood memeries when i see them now.

I'm really disappointed in the direction that scooby-doo is going. If you don't think so look at this http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv_shows/scoobymovie/index.html.
I'm even disappointed in the new cartoon movies, they just lack in comdey and over all fun.

They need to bring back the stlye of the Great Scooby cartoons from 60's and 70's.
And stop making these cgi movies, because it's just an epic failure.

That is just my views, what's your's?

Well... they actually DID want to theatrically release a Pup Named Scooby Doo type film. It was supposed to be made after the second film, but it just didn't get off the ground, and now it's got a low TV movie budget. I'm probably never going to see it... not by choice, but by the fact that it's on cable, and I'd rather not have to buy the DVD.

As for an old style Scooby Doo... other than the movies, I don't see it happening for a while. CN wants to NOT be CN (something everyone and their mother have been bemoaning- but it's not changing any of the tiny minds that run the network), and there's no Kid's WB anymore (I could go on a 5 page rant about that. All I can say is thanks CBS!)... there's no where to put a Scooby Doo show. no where. the DTV market is the only way to go.
