Not sure how many people here are from your area, but have you tried contacting The Boston Area Guild of Puppetry? They might have some leads for you. You should also check out the Frappr Map of Puppeteers (if you haven't already) which I think has a couple of people in MA listed. A free ad on Craigslist might be good too.

No problem. An ad on the PofA Bulletin Board might be good too. I know someone who found a puppeteer to work with by searching their area for MySpace members who had puppetry as an interest too.
