The idea for a new Muppet television show is in very early stages of planning and developing inside the Muppet Holding Company. This does not mean a new show will get made; but they are working on coming up with something that, hopefully, will get picked up by a network for production. Don't expect to see a new show on TV until at around 2007 at the earliest.

I think if the Muppets make a new show, they shouldn't try to make it "edgier" for the "youth of today." It should be exactly like the Muppet Show: good guests, clean humor, great sketches and a whole bunch of music. If it goes on and any Muppet raps in the first episode, I'll turn it off and never watch it again.

Then again, depending on the Muppet, that could be pretty funny. Can you imagine S to the M (Sam the Eagle) attempting to rap?

now that would be HYSTERICAL!!

I would totally watch ANY muppet show, no matter how bad it was. Well, no, that's not entirely true. I'm sure I would draw the line somewhere. But for the most part, I would watch, and watch, and if it was terrible I would sit and say, "look how rotten this is! " and if it wasn't, I'd say, "LOOKIE LOOKIE LOOKIE ITS THE MUPPETS ITS THE MUPPETS!!!!!!!!!!! MUPPETSMUPPETSMUPPETSMUPPETSMUPPETSMUPPETSMUPPETSMUPPETS!!!"
so basically what I'm saying is that I think this is totaly awesome and I hope it works out!

It's a go. Here in the UK they had an interview with Kermit and Piggy on breakfast TV the other day and confirmed the TV show themselves. Piggy's look has been updated, gone is the blond hair and now shes brunette. It looks good.
