Just out of curiousity, knowing that Sesame Street is getting close to celebrating its 40th birthday come November, has there been any announcement about a tv special to commemorate the occasion, or appearances? I just wanted to know off the bat. I just hope that the economic recession hasn't played any part in this whole ordeal. :stick_out_tongue::frown::insatiable:

Yeah. I wanna know if they're planning either a network special or a retrospective or something like that at all. I really hope they don't do what they did last time, and make it in the context of an episode of the show. I did like the Street we Live On... but it really wasn't a special, other than a prime time TV season premier. And As much as I liked "What's the Name of that Song?" as well, I wanna see something that isn't just a DTV project, either.

What I wish to is a throwback show to the years of yesterday...in other words I would like to see an SS special centered around the past. :wisdom:

Maybe we should contact SW and see what's going. I haven't had much luck with their contact page though. Can anyone else reach them?

I've e-mailed them in the past, and have never gotten a response. Heck, it was hard enough to FIND where to e-mail them.

I would hope that Sesame Workshop realizes that there are a lot of older fans that really want to see the B. E. (before Elmo) skits and songs. Perhaps a collective E-mail from all of us would show them we are serious about older material bring on this 2 disc set.
