I think this is one of the best web animations out there. It's about a world where "Huntsmen" and "Huntresses" fight against supernatural creatures using weapons and tech powered by a mystical element called "Dust", and focuses on four female protagonists training to be Huntresses at a special academy. It's a cool blend of action, science-fantasy, and magical girl themes.

Its cel-shaded CG animation takes a while to get used to, and while primitive compared to something from a major studio, it's impressive coming from a web production company using commercial-grade software. They really do get the most out of it, especially past the 1st volume.

It sure is sad what became of creator Monty Oum last year, falling into a coma from a severe allergic reaction from a medical procedure, and eventually passing away. Despite all of this, a 4th volume is in production, and I hope the rest of the production staff are able to maintain the quality of the series.

For those who are interested, RWBY can be viewed for free on Rooster Teeth's website.
