Any alphabet children's book series around?

I was wondering if there have been other children's book series with 26 books for 26 letters of the alphabet besides Sweet Pickles and Alphapets.

There is a hard cover shape book series from Sesame Street. Each book is small and has a capital letter on the front. The story is brief and uses that particular letter. (ie, in the A book, Big Bird imagines himself to be an Artist, an Astronaut and an Acrobat) When you get all 26 books, there is a picture created on when the spines of the books are lined up.
My daughter also has a box with 26 little books in the shape of wooden blocks, again each with a capital letter on the front and about five words starting with that particular letter.
Are you collecting these sort of series?

Well, I hope to write an alphabet book series on the idea of Sweet Pickles or Alphapets, if there aren't any around.

From July 2001 to February 2003, I collected the whole Sweet Pickles series and was hoping some new alphabet book series are in print. Many times when book series go out of print, a new one on the same idea comes out.

Only 26 letters and SO many words to choose from! Good luck and keep me posted on the progress! Do you have a specific theme?
I remember as a young 'un I tried making a kids book with an animal for each letter of the alphabet. Imagine the frustration looking for an X animal (with only the Funk&Wagnalls Encyclopedias as resource) Needless to say the book never got published and I moved on. :stick_out_tongue:

What is the name of that book series?

There were some alphabet books that had rare animals that started with X.

There's my code name, XERUS, which is some type of African ground squirrel.

An armadillo called a XENURUS

A swordfish called a XIPHIAS

A frog-like creature called a XENOPUS

And there are the X-RAY FISH. Electric-like fish where you can actually see their bones.
