My vote was for Tom all the way when it comes to who we like better of the two. But for this question I definitely agree Bugs Bunny would have sided with Jerry. The two were both rodents (And both referred to as 'varmints' ). And remember that Bugs Bunny appeared in The Road Runner's place a few times with the Coyote. And the Coyote had the same success rate - ZERO! - against Bugs as he did against the RR. Bugs also referred to the Road Runner as his "fast feathered friend". And in Tom and Jerry cartoons, Jerry had the help a few times of a canary. I think predators would tend to stick with other predators and prey with prey. So Jerry would likely side with Tweety and Tom with Sylvester; Jerry with Bugs, Tom with Elmer Fudd, etc. [Too bad Elmer's hunting never ventured beyond the woods into the desert. For then he could have had a WEALLY GWEAT time hunting WOAD WUNNERS! UHH HUH HUH HUH HUH HUHHHH!]

Isn't it amazing, too, that just one 7 or 8 minute Tom &Jerry cartoon must have taken a tremendous amount of time and talent to create? Considering the many frames per second, and what they all consisted of (the animals, the objects, the colors, the background objects), the stories and plots and situations to think of and implement, and the music and sound effects to accompany the appropriate action throughout (eg. chase scenes, slamming into mouseholes, etc.).

Well I've a feeling that this is going to be unanimous. I can't see anybody voting for Tom being Bugs's buddy but on the offchance somebody does think so then I'll tally up the numbers.
