I would get picked on for liking Looney Tunes... yet liking Space Jam is absolutely okay. :attitude: And liking the Muppets was a huge problem, but mention Muppet Treasure Island or maybe Muppets from Space around people my age and they get on the extreme nostalgia goggles.
Liking anything that isn't basically MTV Jackthugs or hard core porn will get you picked on. People love to pick on anyone and they just need an excuse. I'm no advocate for bullying, but people should be picked on for liking Honey Boo Boo... especially ironically (Grrrrrrr... Hipsters). Seriously, I'm almost ashamed I sort of like "Mine Diminutive Horse Children: Camaraderie is Whimsy" until I remember people actually watch things on TLC.

... the fact that Oogieloves DVD distribution is so limited basically shows what a massive failure this movie is. That and the fact that bonus features are borderline non-existent. No way this thing will ever break even.
Well, standard DVD's have non-existent bonus features anyway. The more telling sing is they aren't even bothering with Blu-Ray. Major studios have this attitude that Blu Ray's are more important and worthy of special features to the point a standard DVD might as well be sold in a used CD-Rom sleeve with the title of the movie written on it in Sharpee. For any movie that's been theatrically released, even if it is a box office bomb, to not get a Blu-Ray release is really saying something.

But John... this is going to be a TRILOGY! And the next two will make money... right?
That proves how bad a business man Ken Wazzisname is. He wants to shove this down people's throats until someone likes it. I'm surprised he wasn't involved in the Fox Crap-Com "Till Death."

Major studios have this attitude that Blu Ray's are more important and worthy of special features to the point a standard DVD might as well be sold in a used CD-Rom sleeve with the title of the movie written on it in Sharpee.
Disney is the worst offender of this. And ironically, it seemed to start with The Muppets (2011)... unless they've been doing it before then and I just simply wasn't paying attention, but since then, their DVD releases of new movies are practically bare-bone, standard releases, while the Blu-ray releases are the ones with all the special features on them now.

It's just like with the waning days of VHS, some studios started having some form of a special or two at the end of the feature presentation (Stuart Little had outtakes, Doug's 1st Movie had FAQs being answered by Jim Jenkins and the staff at Jumbo Pictures), but if you REALLY wanted MORE special features, you had to get the DVD instead... it's the same story now, DVDs may have a really basic feature or two like outtakes, but if you really want the really good special features, you have to buy the Blu-ray instead.

The bigger problem here, like Sarge keeps pointing out, is that there's also this attitude and mentality among studios and certain people, like if you don't have Blu-ray, you're a big, fat, pathetic loser.

I checked Amazon, and they have a listing for the Oogiloves DVD. Also Blu-Ray, but it's one of those "sign up to be notified when this becomes available" pages, with "when" meaning "if".

The rerererelease of Lion King was much worse. I mean, the crummy blooper reel was at least something. Honestly, I prefer getting TV shows to movies anyway. Kinda sucks that most of them are bare bones too.

Oh good. If someone has a HD TV, they can see the zippers on the rubber suits.

I'd see them make The Oogieloves and the Big Balloon Adventure 2: Who cares what we do since no one is going to see this one anyway

Followed by Oogieloves 3: Here's the deal... we'll just take the 10 bucks per person from you and fart in your face. It's basically the same effect.

THEN, we'll end up with:

Oogieloves 4: Hey, why can't WE be just like Shrek, and Ice Age, and all these other movie franchises they go on to do fourth movies that makes people scream and pull their hair out by the time they come out?
