SPECIAL GUESTS: R.E.M.

OPENING THEME

OPENING NUMBER: The Electric Mayhem play and sing "Up On The Roof" with Clifford on lead vocals, from a rooftop set.

BACKSTAGE: Mokey Fraggle wanders into the Muppet Theatre through a hole in the wall.

GUEST STAR: R.E.M. play "Man On The Moon" with various Koozebanians and other aliens in the background.

STATLER & WALDORF:

STATLER: You know, it's amazing...

WALDORF: Yeah, they can put a man on the moon but they can't get a good act on this show!

BOTH: DOHHHHHHH, HO HO HO...

BACKSTAGE: Janice and Mokey hit it off, and Janice asks Mokey to appear in "Veterinarian's Hospital".

SKIT: "At The Dance"

BACKSTAGE: R.E.M. chitchat with Gonzo.

UK SKIT: Rowlf sings "Mrs. Worthington" to Spamela and an elderly pig who is quite the "stage mother".

BACKSTAGE: Gobo, Wembley, Boober, Red, and various other Fraggles have popped out of the Fraggle hole to rescue Mokey...who's having a great time.

SKIT: "Veterinarian's Hospital"--Dr. Bob, Nurse Piggy, and Nurse Janice operate on Mokey, who can't help but rhyme every time someone says something.

STATLER & WALDORF:

WALDORF: Well, Statler, what do you think?

STATLER: This show has and always will stink!

BOTH: DOHHHH, HO HO HO...

CLOSING NUMBER: R.E.M. sing "Shiny Happy People" with various Muppets, including the Fraggles.

CLOSING THEME/CREDITS

STATLER & WALDORF: (both singing) It's the end of the show as we know it, it's the end of the show as we know it, it's the end of the show as we know it, AND WE FEEL FINE!

*falls over laughing* That was good! Very good! And I liked the idea of the Fraggles meeting the Muppets.
