I know it's not Christmas, not even December. Consider this as a "Christmas in July" fanfic. It's a sequel to the original "Muppet Family Christmas" that takes place a year later, in 1988. The family gets bigger with additional characters from "Emmet Otter's Jug-band Christmas" and "The Tale of the Bunny Picnic". It would have been interesting if the characters from both specials were in the original because both specials were filmed by the time the original was being filmed, that's why I'm creating this fanfic. It gets even better when the human actors from "Sesame Street" come along for the celebration.

Here's the story:
Kermit and friends plan on spending the holidays with Fozzie's mom again and this time, Mrs. Bear is expecting them, what she didn't realize is that there's more company coming with the "Emmet Otter" and "Bunny Picnic" characters. After everyone arrives, Kermit goes into town for some last minute shopping, but a blizzard arrives while he's gone. When the storm gets worse, everyone worries about Kermit and wonder if he'll ever return safely in time for Christmas.

Here are the characters that will be in this fanfic:
The Muppet Show:
Kermit, Miss Piggy, Robin, Fozzie, Gonzo, Scooter, Rowlf, Rizzo, Emily Bear, The Electric Mayhem, Statler and Waldorf

Sesame Street:
Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, Cookie Monster, Grover, Count von Count, Oscar the Grouch, Elmo and Prairie Dawn
Humans: Maria, Luis, Bob, Linda, David, Olivia, Susan, Gordon and Gina

Fraggle Rock:
Gobo, Mokey, Wembley, Boober, Red, Traveling Matt, Sprocket and Doc

Emmet Otter's Jug-band Christmas:
Emmet and Ma Otter, Wendell, Harvey and Charlie

The Tale of the Bunny Picnic:
Bean Bunny, Lugsy, Twitch, Mother Bunny, Father Bunny, Baby Bunny, Great-great-great-great Grandmother Bunny, Mr. De-dop-de-diddly-dog-bop, Be-bop, Snort, Babble and Bulbous

That's what this "Christmas in July" fanfic will be like. I'll work on this as soon as possible.

Part 1:
The Muppets from "The Muppet Show", "Sesame Street", "Emmet Otter's Jug-band Christmas" and "The Tale of the Bunny Picnic" are walking down a snow covered path to Fozzie's mother's house while singing a song.
Kermit: Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring-ting-ting-a-ling, too.
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.
Fozzie: Outside, the snow is falling and friends are calling, "Yoo-hoo!"
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.
Elmo: Giddy up, giddy up, giddy up, let's go, let's look at the show.
We're riding in a wonderland of snow.
Robin: Giddy up, giddy up, giddy up, it's grand just holding your hand.
Both: We're gliding along with a song of wintry fairy land.
Gonzo: Our cheeks are nice and rosy and comfy cozy are we.
Big Bird: We're snuggled up together like two birds of a feather would be.
Grover: Let's take that road before us and sing a chorus or two.
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.
Rowlf: There's a Christmas party at the home of Fozzie Bear.
Count: It'll be a perfect party with our friends all there.
Bean: We'll be singing the songs we love to sing without a single stop.
Oscar: At the fireplace while we watch the chestnuts pop.
All: Pop, pop, pop!
Bert: There's a happy feeling nothing in the world can buy
Ernie: when they pass around the chocolate and pumkpin pie.
Emmet, Wendell, Lugsy and Bean: It'll nearly be like a picture print by Currier and Ives.
Robin: These wonderful things are the things we remember all through our lives.
Kermit and Robin: Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring-ting-ting-a-ling, too.
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.
Scooter: Outside, the snow is falling and friends are calling,

Part 2:
Meanwhile, Emily Bear is finishing decorating the living room.
Mrs. Bear: Well, everything is all set for Fozzie and his friends to come.
(Doorbell rings)
Come in!
Fozzie: Hi, Ma!
Mrs. Bear: Fozzie! You're here!
Fozzie: Yep and all my friends are with me, too. Come on in, everyone!
(Everyone comes in and slips on the ice patch as they enter)
Mrs. Bear: Careful with the icy patch!
Kermit: Hi, Mrs. Bear!
Mrs. Bear: Oh, I see the lizard is back.
Kermit: It's frog, Kermit the Frog.
Mrs. Bear: Say, Fozzie. There seems to be more of your friends than last year.
Fozzie: That's because we brought our friends from Frogtown Hollow and Bunny Meadow with us. I'll introduce them to you. Follow me.
Robin: Isn't it great, Uncle Kermit? Everyone's here.
Kermit: Yep. Speaking of which, we have to go to Fraggle Rock and see if that hole is still in the cellar.
Robin: Yeah. Oh, I can't wait to see them.
So Kermit and Robin went downstairs to the Fraggle Hole and looked to see if the Fraggles were there.
Kermit: Hello! You guys here?
Robin: Gobo? Red? Wembley? Boober? Mokey? Where are you guys?
Boober: Robin? Is that you?
Robin: Yeah.
Boober: Hey, guys! Kermit and Robin are here!
Red: How are you guys?
Kermit: We're great. In fact, we were wondering if you guys want to join us for our Christmas celebration.
Wembley: Sure.
Mokey: We'd love to.
Gobo: I'm sure Uncle Matt would want to join.
Matt: Of course I would. I've been wondering how this Christmas holiday is done in Outer Space.
Kermit: Sure. Outer Space.
Robin: Come with us. Everyone is here.
Kermit, Robin and the Fraggles go upstairs and join the rest of the group.
Matt: My, you sure have a lot of friends.
Robin: Sure, everyone always comes together at Christmas.
(Doorbell Rings)
Fozzie: I'll get it! Hey, Doc! Come on in!
(Sprocket barks)
Doc: Thank you, Fozzie.
Gobo: Hey, it's Doc!
Wembley: He's here for Christmas.
Doc: Hello, Gobo!
Boober: Nice to see you again, Doc.
Maria: Hello!
Bert: There's Maria!
Ernie: And there's Bob, Linda, Luis, David, Olivia, Gordon, Susan and Gina, too!
Bob: Hey, everyone.
Susan: Merry Christmas, everyone!
Big Bird: I'm so glad you're all here!
Gina: We're happy we're here, too, Big Bird.
Mrs. Bear: Hmm. Looks like I'll have to make a bigger dinner this year.
Bean: Who are they, Kermit?
Kermit: Those are all our friends from Sesame Street. I'll introduce them to you and your family.
Bean: Okay. I'll go get them.
While everyone gets aquainted, Oscar just slunks down in his trash can hating Christmas, as always.
Oscar: Oh, boy. Christmas is just to cheerful, especially when it's with a lot of people.
Oscar (Sings): I can't think of anything that's dumber.
To a grouch, Christmas is a bummer.
Beaming faces everywhere, happiness is in the air.
I'm telling you, it isn't fair, I hate Christmas!
People loaded with good will, giving presents, what a thrill!
That's slushy nonsense makes me ill, I hate Christmas!
I'd rather have a holiday like normal grouches do.
Instead of giving presents, they take presents back from you.
Here comes Santa, girls and boys. So who needs that big, red noise?
I'll tell him where to put his toys, I hate Christmas!
(Speaks): And if you want the truth, I ain't so crazy about Thanksgiving or labor Day either!
(Sings): Christmas carols to be sung, decorations to be hung.
Oh, yeah? Well, I stick out my tongue! I hate Christmas!
Christmas bells play loud and strong, hurts my ears all that ding dong!
Besides, it goes on much too long, I hate Christmas!
I'd rather have a holiday with a lot less joy and flash,
with a lot less cheerful smiling and a lot more dirty trash!
Christmas Day is almost here when it's over, then I cheer.
I'm glad it's only once a year, I hate Christmas!
(Slams trash can lid)

Is that a real grouch song or did you make it up? *is reminded of a similar song by Team Rocket*

Well, I wanted to have the story take place the year after the original "Family Christmas" was filmed and "The Jim Henson Hour" wasn't filmed yet at the time.

Part 3:
Overhearing Oscar's song, Kermit comments as he rejoins the group.
Kermit: Boy, that Oscar is such a grouch.
Grover: What do you expect, Froggie? Oscar enjoying Christmas?
Kermit: You make a point, Grover. But you know, just once, I'd like to see Oscar in the Christmas spirit.
Grover: True. I'd like to see that myself.
Meanwhile, Bob and Rowlf are at the piano preparing to play and sing a song.
Bob: All right, Rowlf. Ready to get started?
Rowlf: I sure am, Bob. Okay. Everyone ready to sing a Christmas song?
(Everyone agrees)
Bob: Looks like everyone's ready, Rowlf. Kermit, why don't you start off?
Kermit: Okay. I've got a perfect song to start the celebration with all of us together. Take it, Rowlf.
(Rowlf begins playing)
Kermit: It's Christmas time and time for a carol.
Time to sing about the little king.
To fill the bowl and roll out the banel, have ourselves a fling.
Fozzie: We greet a friend or welcome a stranger.
Let him sing and cheer him on his way
and celebrate the child in a manger born on Christmas Day.
Scooter: Good cheer for you and for me with pleasure and glee to share.
Gonzo: Oh, we're so happy to be together on Yuletide Square.
All 4: It looks like snow and falls like snow.
Take a moment, take a look about and say as snowflakes fall,
"Merry Christmas to one and all!"
Bob: Okay, everybody. Let's sing this together.
All: It's Christmas time and time for a carol.

Kermit: Very good, everyone.
Bob: Nice singing, everybody.
Kermit: We've got another one up our sleeves. Play it, Rowlf.
(Piano plays)
(Note: Each line in the next song will be typed once since the song is "The Twelve Days of Christmas". The song before this was "It's Christmas Time" which was sung by The Carpenters)
Kermit: On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree.
Big Bird: Two turtle doves
Gonzo: Three French hens.
Robin: Four calling birds.
Miss Piggy: Five Gold rings.
Scooter: Six geese a-laying.
Bert: Seven swans a-swimming.
Ernie: Eight maids a-milking.
Twitch: Nine ladies dancing.
Bean: Ten lords a-leaping.
Lugsy: Eleven pipers piping.
Rowlf: Twelve drummers drumming.
(All laugh)
