Animated Avatars

I just tried to upload an animated avatar and the message appeared:
"You may not upload animated images." Is this something new? I know I have seen other members who had animated avatars.

Mine was at the correct size: 64 x 64 and only 4KB

I did the same thing and got the same message yesterday; only I assumed it was because maybe the size of the image was too big; but then after foolin around with it until the file size was at the proper size, I still got that message, I wonder what's up with that?

The new system shrinks non animated pics to fit in file-size and height, etc, size. But cannot do that for animated pics. To have an animated avatar, you must set the file size the same as the avatars here.

Yep, something must have changed. Even the animated GIF I had on MC last month won't animate anymore.

Beauregard be alert if you want to change yours in the future, it might not work again unless this is corrected.

I had made a nice new Christmas one I had wanted to upload.

I had a blinking Snuffy one I made myself and it wont let me upload it! Grr!!

Wow! That is interesting!
I just made the one I wanted to upload smaller (60 pixels by 60 pixels at 4 KB) and still wouldn't animate.

Oh well, I'm glad to know your's works.

Werird...I can't imagine why it is...unless it's just becuase it was loaded here prevously? Would that make a difference?
