One of my favorite Cookie Monster clips is the one where he goes into the library and keeps asking for a box of cookies. The neurotic librarian eventually goes off on Cookie Monster and yells, "JUST BOOKS!!! NO COOKIES!!!" Cookie Monster finally gets it and asks for a book about cookies and then a glass of milk and the librarian passes out. CLASSIC!!!!!!

Very funny skit! Watched it with my younger brother and cousin when they were into SS.

There's almost a parallel here between this skit and an animated clip from The Electric Company of the sailor asking the waitress for "A cup of coffee and a sweet roll."

Cookie asks for several different books, and a box of cookies, not recognizing the librarian's growing frustration that there are just books in the library, no cookies. The frustration mounts until CM just asks for a box of cookies, which causes the librarian (expertly done by Richard Hunt) to go absolutely banschee.

We almost have an affective resolution- CM requests a BOOK about cookies....and a glass of milk, prompting the librarian to faint/have a stroke/choose your own ending.
Anything where Richard Hunt's character gets riled up makes for good viewing
