Chapter Five:
The gang loaded up the busses and headed home. Rowlf sat down on the bus with Moe. It surprised Wanda a little bit because he usually sat with her. She shook it off though. Rowlf’s brother was here, he needed to deal with that.
They arrived back at the Boarding House and everyone piled inside. “Our room’s upstairs Moe,” said Rowlf.
“Great, I can’t wait to see it. I’m sure it’s just as awesome as your dressing room!” exclaimed Moe.
“I’ll be right there Moe, it’s the second door on the left,” said Rowlf. He turned around to wait for Wanda. He just wanted to apologize one more time for the change in plans.
She came inside laughing and talking with Janice and Piggy.
“Wanda?” asked Rowlf.
She didn’t hear him because of something Piggy was saying and then they burst out into laughter again. Rowlf decided to let her have her fun and that she must not be too disappointed about their evening being ruined.
He headed upstairs and found Moe jumping on his bed.
“Wee-ha! This is the fanciest bed I’ve ever seen! You’re living like a king here bro,” said Moe.
“It’s not bad. Be careful we’re going to have to share that bed tonight,” said Rowlf.
Moe stopped jumping.
“No problem. So, what’s a typical day for you? I can get your breakfast in the morning,” said Moe.
Rowlf sighed. He liked the idea of having an assistant do everything for him, but he couldn’t do that to his brother. Still, it seemed he wanted to seem useful.
“Sure, I like coffee with cream and then there’s usually some sausage links or something resembling sausage links made by the Swedish Chef,” said Rowlf.
“Great!” said Moe and smiled as he began to unpack his suitcase.
“Moe, can we at least call Mom and let her know that you’re here?” asked Rowlf.
“Rowlf, please. I told you, she knows I’m with you and that’s fine,” said Moe.
“Well, I do talk to her about once a week, will you talk to her when she calls?” asked Rowlf.
“Yes, fine, don’t worry,” said Moe and went back to unpacking.
This was all becoming very troubling to Rowlf, his brother needed help and Rowlf feared he needed more help than he could give. Rowlf thought for a moment as to what day it was. Wednesday. Felicia would be calling him on Friday unless she called sooner for fear of how Moe was doing. Rowlf decided to relax a little and wait until he could talk to his mother a little more about the situation.
“Well, I guess we can go to bed,” said Rowlf.
“All right, I’ll take this side,” said Moe getting into bed and immediately falling asleep.
“That’s my side,” Rowlf started to say but let it go and got into the other side. Unlike Moe though he laid awake a long time.

He awoke the next morning to find Moe already up.
“I wonder what he’s doing?” thought Rowlf as he crept downstairs.
“Morning bro!” called Moe when Rowlf stepped into the kitchen. Moe was heating coffee, flipping pancakes and cooking sausage.
“What are you doing? I told you the Chef cooks everything!” exclaimed Rowlf.
“Well, he was dropping stuff and he set the curtain on fire so I told him I’d make breakfast. I want to make sure you’re eating well,” said Moe.
“What about everyone else?” asked Rowlf.
“Don’t worry, I’m making plenty!” exclaimed Moe.
Rowlf sighed and went to sit down at the breakfast table. A few had already gathered.
“Hey Rowlf, your brother’s actually a pretty good cook!” said Fozzie.
“Yeah, I was really hoping he’d serve exploding pop tarts, but these pancakes are pretty good,” said Gonzo.
Rowlf smiled a little. If Moe wasn’t bothering everyone else, he shouldn’t be bothered by it either. He grabbed a pancake and poured some coffee. Just then Wanda came in and sat down.
“Hey Wanda, I wanted to talk to you about last night,” Rowlf started to say and then was interrupted by Moe.
“Here you go bro! Sausage links just the way mom makes them. I hope you like them,” said Moe.
“Thanks,” said Rowlf.
“It was real nice of your brother to make breakfast Rowlf,” said Piggy coming in and sitting down.
“Yeah, he hasn’t burned anything. We can keep him!” said Kermit.
“Well, I don’t know if you should get used to it,” said Rowlf and started to turn back to Wanda but was interrupted again by Moe.
“I forgot your cream! Here, I made it fresh this morning,” said Moe.
“Geeze, where’d you learn all this cooking stuff?” asked Rowlf.
“Food Network. We watch a lot of t.v.” shrugged Moe and headed back to the kitchen.
“Boy, you sure are lucky Rowlf, I wish my sister would wait on me like that,” said Scooter.
This was pretty much how breakfast continued; Moe continued to replenish food on the table. Rowlf never did get his chance to talk to Wanda.
He got up from the table and cleared his dishes then got ready to go to the theatre. He’d just have to catch up with her there.
