Am I the only one who doesn't understand why real swear words aren't considered swear words in Europe, yet they consider the term "spunky" as offensive?

Yeah it's true, we have completely different impressions of what a "swear word" is. ::shrugs::

Reminds of how Father Mulcahy's original nickname of Dago Red was dropped because even though it's the name of the sacramental wine he got drunk from in the novel and movie, apparently "Dago" is a insulting word for an Italian (kind of like how "cracker" is an insulting word for a white man, or the n-word being an insult for a black man).

Now as far as I'm concerned, "spunky" describes someone has being eager, and full of energy, so I'm interested in knowing what it means to people in Europe than they find it offensive.

Well obviously they consider their own swear words "real" heh. Whatever the case, they generally mean you've run out of useful things to say, heh.
