Wow... I didn't realize the UK Fraggle Rock album contained additional tracks. This is the first time I had head about this. I assume we're both talking about the 1983 LP, but just the UK version contains new material, right?

Yes, it's the same one. It uses the standard picture of the Fraggle Five on the front rather than the artwork of the US release, and it's in a gatefold sleeve with pictures of various characters on the insides. "Workin'" is the last track on side one, and "Travelling Matt" is the first track on side two. It appears that the "Fraggle Rock Theme" is a different recording, too.

Alex, do you by chance have the extra UK tracks in digital form. I'd like to check them out for Muppet Central Radio.
 Watch this space...

A slight correction  There are two different recordings of the song. The one from the single does feature this lyric. The one from the album (which is what I was listening to) has a different line, but I can't make all the words out...

By that do you mean that the UK release has the Captain instead of Doc?

No, it has neither. All the rest of the dialogue (and Sprocket's barking) is still there, but Gerry Parks' line is gone, and the musical arrangement is very different...

A New Question About The Song In Question

I recently had a friend of mine burn my fraggle LPs onto CD so I'm now able to hear " Around the world/universe " or " Traveling Matt " ( as they call it on the album ) and I have a question of sorts. Okay, towards the end of the song after Gobo says he's as crazy as his Uncle Matt & they all giggle, you can hear him, Wembley & possibly Red, Mokey & Boober kinda singing over the rest of the fraggles when they start the refrain. One of the fraggles sings the word " Fraggle Rock " a bit louder than the rest and I'm trying to figure out if it's Gobo or Wembley. I've blasted the song in my car a few times but I just can't figure it out. Any help? :smirk:

Thanks,

Nick :smirk:
